KFC IS DOUBLIN’ DOWN!

When I first heard about the Double Down I thought it was a joke. I was thinking to myself, “there is no possible way there is a sandwich out there like this.”

The thing that got me was all the negative things being said about the Double Down. But I read a pretty interesting post from the BNET Food Blog that cleare a lot up for me. There were a lot of things being said about the sandwich that were just word-of-mouth, but not always fact.

The fact of the matter is KFC used very effective marketing strategies in order to reach their target audience.

I have yet to try the Double Down myself. I’m a little weirded out by the fact that it had no bread. But if you read the blog the BNET Food Blog posted it may change your mind about the sandwich!

I’ve seen it all now. Can you really call this thing a sandwich? I guess KFC is determined to change the way we look at chicken sandwiches. It makes me wonder how the other fast food chains will respond to this, especially the ones that rely heavily on sales from chicken sandwiches (Wendy’s, Chik-fil-A, Zaxby’s, etc.). This is a pretty good example at innovative marketing, because like you, I had never heard of anything like this and probably would have thought it was a joke as well. But nobody else has anything like it right now so I bet they’re doing pretty well with it so far.

  3. I have heard nothing but good reviews about the KFC Double Down. I thought it was a very creative way for KFC to get people to come in and eat. They were already getting attention for their new grilled chicken, but now they are grabbing attention with this sandwich. I asked one friend about it and when he went to get it they were sold out of the sandwich. I don’t think it’s the healthiest thing to eat, but I really want to try it just to see how it tastes. It reminds me of IN-N-Out burger in California where you can get a hamburger with lettuce on the top and the bottom instead of hamburger buns. That is a little healthier than two fried chicken patties surrounding bacon and cheese.

ok, this just sounds gross and looks gross. I’m not sure who thought of this or why, but that a lot of food for one sandwich. This might be a good idea for guy to eat but for girls or women this is just over whelming. In this picture or video the food does not even look good. Also it look kinda messy, so on the “go”, like fast food should be does not seem to work in my eyes. I would like to see what KFC competitors come up with the try to out beat this major sandwich. I might try it just to see if it taste good! 😦
